DeKalb Medical to receive AMA Gold Award for Quality Stroke Care

DeKalb Medical has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in ensuring that stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines.

In addition, DeKalb Medical Hillandale received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in ensuring that stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines.

“The recognition from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines-Stroke is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication,” said Stroke Coordinator, Chika Odioemene MSN, RN, NP.  “We are proud of our efforts and will continue to aim for the highest quality of care for our patients and our community.”
