DeKalb Extension Service to present health night for caregivers PDF Print E-mail

The DeKalb Extension Service is accepting registrations for its caregiver health and wellness night.

The deadline to register for the free event is Nov. 28.

The Extension Service, DeKalb Initiative for Children and Families, and Generations Connected, Inc. are sponsoring the event, which will include exhibits, blood pressure and diabetes screenings, dinner and a cognitive health presentation.

The speaker for the event is Monica Parker, M.D., Emory Medical School Alzheimer’s Disease Program. Dr. Parker will present the A, B,Cs of brain health.

The event, supporting National Caregivers Month, is open to female caregivers and grandmothers 55 and over.

The Caregiver’s Night Out will be held Nov. 30, 5 p.m., at the DeKalb Extension office, 4380 Memorial Drive, Decatur.
