DEKALB COUNTY, GA–Three DeKalb vs. DeKalb high school football games are set for tonight with a total of nine games in DeKalb Stadiums this weekend.

Thursday night’s lineup of four games includes the Arabia Mountain Rams (1-2) and Lakeside Vikings (1-2) in a 7 p.m. kickoff at Godfrey Stadium.

The Rams hold a 2-0 advantage in the series against the Vikings since the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Both teams are coming off a bye in this Region 4-5A clash.

Senior quarterback, Julian Shanks, leads the Arabia Mountain offense with 747 yards passing and seven touchdowns. Shanks teams up  with Xavian Brinson and Brandon Dowling, both of whom have over 200 yards receiving and three touchdowns, along with running back Jonathan Odeh-Adimah, who has three touchdowns and 181 yards on just 13 carries this season.

Lakeside’s defense will counter with highly-touted defensive tackle Makhi Williams-Lee who has four sacks on the season and junior linebacker Grady Ellerman (35 total tackles).

The Vikings offense is controlled by senior quarterback Kyle Davis with 180 yards rushing and two touchdowns and 325 passing through the air. Arbia Mountain counters with its linebacking crew of seniors Malcolm Snipes (16.5 tackles) and Jaden Sancho (15 tackles) and sophomore Alex Chambliss (12 tackles).

Miller Grove (2-2) hosts Stone Mountain (0-4) at Hallford Stadium tonight (Thursday, 7 p.m.) holding a 5-1 edge in the series that has not been played since 2017. Stone Mountain won their first-ever meeting in 2006 and Miller Grove has taken the last five.

The third all-DeKalb meeting tonight (Thursday) has the Clarkston Angoras (0-3, 0-1) heading to Adams Stadium for a 7:00 pm kickoff in a Region 5-4A meeting with the Tucker Tigers (2-1, 1-0). The two teams first played in 1950 in a series dominated by the Tigers 23-8-1 but have not played since the 2014 season.

Columbia (0-3) looks to get into the win column tonight as they host former region opponent Callaway (1-2) in a 7:00 pm kickoff at Cobb Stadium. Callaway won a 31-29 heartbreaker for the Eagles at Callaway last season to take  2-0 lead in the series that started in 2022.

Three region matchups are on tap at 7:30 pm on Friday night as the Martin Luther King Lions (1-2) come off a bye week following their first win of the season to take on Region 4-4A foe Maynard Jackson (3-0) kick off the Friday night lights.

Hallford Stadium has the Stephenson Jaguars (2-2, 0-0) hosting the Mt. Zion-Jonesboro Bulldogs (1-2, 1-0) in a Region 5-3A meeting at 7:30. The Jaguars try to rebound from a road loss to the Decatur Bulldogs last weekend.

The Dunwoody Wildcats (1-2, 0-0) try to get on track in Region 4-5A as they host undefeated Tri-Cities (2-0, 0-0) in a 7:30 kickoff at North DeKalb Stadium. Dunwoody’s rally against Lumpkin County last week came up short in a 49-35 loss.

Other home games include Cross Keys (0-3) hosting Mt. Bethel (2-0) at Adams Stadium and Redan (1-3) hosting Riverdale (0-4) at Cobb Stadium.

Chamblee (0-3), Cedar Grove (0-2), Druid Hills (2-1) and Southwest DeKalb (2-1) all go on the road this Friday. All except Cedar Grove (at Heath, TX) play region games.

Lithonia (2-1), McNair (2-2) and Towers (2-1) get the week off.
