DEKALB COUNTY, GA—May of each year has been recognized as a time for law enforcement agencies throughout the county to pay tribute to fallen officers and their families. In keeping with this honorable tradition, the DeKalb County Police Department acknowledges our fallen officers and their family members with the Fallen Officers Memorial Service.
The service will take place on Thursday, May 11, 10 a.m., at the DeKalb History Center (Historic Courthouse Courtyard) at 101 East Court Square, Decatur. Chief of Police Mirtha V. Ramos invites the community to to honor all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving our communities.
The memorial service will recognize officers from all of DeKalb including Clarkston, Decatur, Doraville, Pine Lake, Stone Mountain, Marshal’s Office, Medical Examiner’s Office, Sheriff’s Office and MARTA.
