STONECREST, GA—Residents of the Bramblewood community, located in the city of Stonecrest, rolled up their sleeves for a special beautification project recently. With their HOA no longer in place, neighbors united and raised money to repair a worn sign at the entrance of the community.
The Ramblewood subdivision, which residents estimate includes 70 to 80 homes, is an established community located off of Salem Road near Evans Mill Road. Some residents like Renee Cail have lived in Ramblewood for more than three decades.
“Our sign to the Bramblewood subdivision completely collapsed this spring. It rotted and literally fell to the ground,” said Cail, who has lived in the subdivision for 34 years. “The residents of the Bramblewood subdivision were very concerned about the sign and were not certain of how to get it repaired.”
Cail said that Robert Foster led the initiative to speak with residents, raise the funds and repair the sign. A group of men and youths volunteered to do the work.
As the volunteers worked hard in the heat, organizers made sure the volunteers had pizza and cold tea.
Cail praised the united effort of the community at large.
“Our sign was done! Many thanks to the awesome neighbors who contributed financially, who were willing to repair it or with the installation of the new sign. Kudos to Bob Foster, Gabriel Amidon, Josh Amidon, Joe Maxwell, Robert Cunningham, Riley Patterson, Charlie Amidon and Edwin Patterson,” Cail said.
