MARTA to host job fair for bus operators + journeyman bus technicians on Thursday, Oct. 26

ATLANTA – MARTA will hold a job fair for bus operators and journeyman bus technicians on Thursday, Oct. 26,  1 to 5 p.m.   at MARTA headquarters, located at 2424 Piedmont Rd., NE, Atlanta, across from the Lindbergh Center rail station.

MARTA is offering a sign-on bonus and training for  all Permit and Class C (regular) license holders for their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

The pay starts at  $17.74/hr for operators and $23.91/hr for bus technicians.

BUS OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Seeking full-time and part-time operators
• Must be 21 years of age or older                                              
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have current Class C (regular) license
• Must pass physical exam and ability test, and drug/alcohol screening

JOURNEYMAN BUS TECHINICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have current Class C (regular) license
• Must have completed auto, transit bus, diesel, or maintenance programs, or have three or more years of comparable work experience

Business casual/professional dress is required for the job fair. Applicants are encouraged to ride MARTA to the event. The job fair will be held at MARTA headquarters, which is located across the street from Lindbergh Center Station. Free parking is also available in the nearby MARTA parking deck.
