CONYERS, GA—Chief State Court Judge Clarence Cuthpert, Jr. will host a health fair for seniors on Dec. 7, 10 a.m. until noon, at Loves and Hugs Christian Tabernacle, 1701 Klondike Road S.W., Conyers.
Judge Cuthpert, along with the Community C.A.R.E.S. Foundation, Inc., will present “Empowering Your Health & Wellness,” a Seniors Health & Fitness Fair. Services provided to our senior citizens will include testing and obtaining current vaccines onsite. Participants also will learn about brain health, hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma, COVID-19, cholesterol, pneumonia, and the flu.
The presenters at the Health & Fitness Fair will include Monica W. Parker, MD, Director of Outreach Recruitment & Engagement Care, Emory University Disease Research Center; and John Lewis, owner of Energy Fitness of America. Healthcare services will be provided by Gwinnett Newton Rockdale Public Health
“Our seniors make up a significant portion of the Rockdale County population and are one of our most valuable resources,” Cuthpert said. “Through the Rockdale County PEARL program and events such as the Health & Fitness Fair, we will continue to make our senior citizens a priority in Rockdale County by ensuring that they are protected from abuse and scams, aware of the various services available to them, and educated regarding the warning signs of various medical conditions that they are susceptible to.”
