ATLANTA—Congressman Hank Johnson’s Office is offering a convenient way for constituents of the Fourth Congressional District to renew or apply for a passport directly with the Department of State.
The “Congressman Hank Johnson’s District Passport Day” event will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Latin American Association, 2750 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA.

All appointments must be confirmed. No walk-in appointments will be permitted. There will be no same-day books printed at this event. All applications will be processed in accordance with the national processing times for Passport Services.

Acceptable forms of payment are money orders or personal checks [payable to the U.S. Department of State], credit or debit cards, and Apple Pay. No cash will be accepted.
Please bring your valid driver’s license, plus one of the following as your proof of U.S. citizenship: A previously issued U.S. passport, original birth certificate, or certificate of naturalization.
Each applicant must bring a front and back photocopy of the ID that will be presented at the time of passport acceptance. Local university ID is acceptable for college students.
Applicants are required to provide one recent passport photograph, measuring 2-by-2 inches, on a white background. The Agency will not provide photographs. Applicants may purchase photographs at a local CVS, FedEx, Walgreens, etc.
All applicants must appear in person (including minors). Minors under the age of 16 must appear with both parents. If one parent is not available, a notarized DS-3053 Statement of Consent authorization from the non-appearing parent is required, along with a photocopy (front & back) of the absent parent’s ID.
U.S. passport holders whose passport expires within six months should consider renewing their passports.
