CONYERS, GA— Conyers City Manager Kameron Kelley has appointed Rebecca Hill as deputy director of the Georgia International Horse Park (GIHP). The appointment was effective July 1.
Hill began her career with the city of Conyers in 2003. She holds degrees from Young Harris College and the University of Georgia. Prior to being appointed deputy director, she served as an intern, event manager, sales and marketing manager and assistant director. Hill is responsible for promotions, sales and event bookings for special events and equestrian events, website management, advertising and social media promotions.
Hill is a member of the League of Agriculture and Equine Centers and earned her Certified Manager of Equine Centers designation in 2024. She is also a member of the International Association of Venue Managers and a graduate of the organization’s Venue Management School in 2023. She holds a Tourism Marketing Professional certification through the Southeast Tourism Society. Hill was the recipient of the city’s 2007 Dee Buggay Award of Excellence (Employee of the Year) and is a graduate of Leadership Rockdale.
In her new position, Hill will assist with all GIHP business operations, venue management, employee engagement and budget planning. “Through training, hands-on experience and learning the ins and outs of the equestrian industry in her various roles at the park over the years, Rebecca’s experience and enthusiasm are unmatched,” said Kelley.
“She’s quite the asset to the Georgia International Horse Park and will serve the city and the park expertly in this position.”
