GWINNETT COUNTY, GA– Jhon Sebastian Terencio-Quant, who was reported missing by a family member on Sept. 11, has been located and is deceased, the Gwinnett County Police Department announced today, Sept. 23.
Detectives do not suspect foul play, stating that the 20-year-old man’s death appears to be drug-related. Authorities did not state where his body was found.
Next of kin notifications have been made, and the official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office, authorities said.
The Gwinnett County Police Department had issued an alert on Sept. 20 seeking the public’s assistance in locating the missing Norcross man.
A family member contacted 911 to report Terencio-Quant as missing on Sept. 11 after his roommate told the family member that Terencio-Quant left with an unknown male to go to a hotel, possibly in the area of Chamblee Tucker Road, on Sept. 4. Terencio-Quant did not have a working cellphone, which made it hard for family members to confirm this information, police said.
The lead investigator assigned to the case learned that Terencio-Quant had left the temporary residence in Norcross and visited the Horizon Inn on 6187 Dawson Blvd. with an unknown acquaintance on Sept. 7. After several hours, the acquaintance wanted to leave the hotel, but Terencio-Quant decided to stay, according to the investigation. Terencio-Quant was last seen on Sept.11 on foot in the area of Pleasantdale Road in Doraville, police said.
