STONECREST, GA – High school seniors from across the United States are invited to seize a golden opportunity at the 9th Annual Free College Scholarship Fair, scheduled this week, Oct. 14-17.
The fair is being held daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Samson’s Health & Fitness Center on the campus of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 6400 Woodrow Road, Stonecrest.
As the largest event of its kind in the country, the fair offers students the chance to connect with college representatives and explore scholarship opportunities, all at no cost.
Courtney L. Dillard, event organizer, promoter, and host, emphasizes the fair’s importance.
“This life-changing event provides scholarship money to every student who dreams of attending college but is uncertain about how to finance it. It’s a dream come true for many,” Dillard said.
Powered by the Infinite Scholars Program, the fair is a platform for students to engage with representatives from a diverse array of institutions, including major private and public universities, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and liberal arts colleges.
Thomas Ousley, founder of Infinite Scholars, highlights the event’s value: “This is a golden opportunity for college-bound high school students to discuss admission and scholarship opportunities directly with college representatives.”
Students attending the 4-day fair may receive scholarships and admission offers on the spot. To make the most of this opportunity, students should bring multiple copies of their unofficial high school transcript, test scores (ACT/SAT), two letters of recommendation, a one-page resume, and a one-page essay titled “Why I Want to Attend College.”
