STONECREST, GA—Patsy Ringfield Turner, the wife of Stonecrest Mayor pro tem George Turner, Jr., has passed away. Mrs. Turner was called to her heavenly home at the stroke of midnight on Jan. 1, after courageously battling breast cancer. She was 70.
George Turner said his beloved Patsy was his “soulmate” and they shared 40 years of marriage together. He said that she was at home in hospice when she passed away.
City of Stonecrest Mayor Jazzmin Cobble and the City Council issued a statement offering condolences to Mayor pro tem George Turner and his family:

We have witnessed your unwavering commitment to your loving wife, Patsy, as she walked through a journey like no other. Your dedication to Stonecrest during this time is to be commended. Patsy Ringfield was born on Aug. 6, 1954, in Atlanta, GA. She attended Slater Elementary School and played the flute in the marching band for L. J. Price High School Class of 1972 and MS degree in Human Resources Development from Georgia State University. Her career placed her in Chattanooga, TN; Nashville, TN; and Birmingham, AL, where she reconnected with her soon-to-be husband, George Turner, Jr.
In addition to her husband, George Turner, Patsy Turner is survived by two adult children; and two toddler grandchildren.
The service will be held on Jan. 11, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul AME Church, 1540 Pryor Road, Atlanta.
