DECATUR,GA– The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has released its 2025 Drinking Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The report confirms that DeKalb County continues to exceed all state and federal drinking water quality standards, delivering safe, high-quality drinking water to its customers.
Serving more than 760,000 residents, DWM is responsible for not only treating and distributing drinking water, but also collecting and treating wastewater across DeKalb County. In accordance with regulatory requirements, DWM rigorously tests the county’s tap water to ensure it meets or exceeds water quality standards.
To maintain this high standard, DWM collects and tests more than 250 water samples each month from various points throughout the distribution system. In addition, the department performs 45 production control tests daily—365 days a year—to monitor water quality in real time.
The 2025 CCR includes detailed data from water quality testing conducted throughout 2024. It is available on DWM’s website at www.dekalbcountyga.gov/DWM-CCR .
