Families across DeKalb and Rockdale counties are invited to free back-to-school events on Saturday, July 26. The events are aimed at equipping students with school supplies, health resources and fun-filled activities to help kick off the 2025-26 school year as students prepare to return to classes on Aug. 4.
MedCura Health, located at 5582 Memorial Drive in DeKalb County, will present a Back-to-School Health Fair and Family Fun Day offering free bookbags, school supplies, snacks, immunizations, haircuts, pony and amusement rides, live entertainment and more.
DeKalb County School District (DCSD) will host its annual Back-to-School Rally from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Administrative and Instructional Complex (AIC), located at 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard in Stone Mountain.
This year’s theme, “Level Up for Success,” promises a vibrant event featuring free school supplies, live music, a Fun Zone for kids, health screenings, immunizations, and a variety of family resources. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
DeKalb County Government will also host its 5th Annual “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive, led by CEO Lorraine Cochran Johnson, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event aims to provide essential supplies to students and families across the county to help them succeed in the upcoming academic year.
Meanwhile, in Rockdale County:
- One Rockwill host a Back-to-School Bash at Wheeler Park in Conyers, with free school supplies and giveaways for families.
- Springfield Baptist Churchin Conyers will provide free school supplies, games, treats, and food at its own community event.
All events are open to the public.
