DEKALB COUNTY, GA– Due to forecasted freezing temperatures, DeKalb County will open four warming centers for residents who need shelter beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November 26, 27 and 28.
The following shelters will be open:
- Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Road SE, Atlanta
• St. Vincent de Paul, 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Road, Chamblee
• Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340 McConnell Drive, Decatur
• Exchange Park Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur
All transportation routes originate from Frontline Response Headquarters (2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta) and are scheduled for initial pickups to be completed by 7:30 p.m. Following the initial routes, final sweeps will continue from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., ending promptly at 10 p.m.
During warming center activation, transportation pickups will be available to Frontline International according to the following schedule:

Route 4 – South Central / Memorial Drive / Wesley Chapel
- Memorial Drive & Columbia Drive Intersection – Decatur– 6:10 p.m.
• South DeKalb Mall / Walmart – 2731 Candler Road, Decatur– 6:25 p.m.
• QT on Wesley Chapel / Snapfinger Road – 4075 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur– 6:45 p.m.
• Wesley Chapel Shopping Plaza Bus Stop – 2495 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur– 7:00 p.m.
• Golden Door Warming Center – 2944 Ember Drive, Decatur– 7:15 p.m.

Frontline Response International is contracted by DeKalb County to serve individuals in need during extreme weather conditions. Hot dinners and breakfasts will be served nightly. Beds or cots will be provided and case-management services centralized at Frontline’s headquarters. Transportation services from all warming centers to Frontline are available for those who wish to access these services.
