(STONE MOUNTAIN, GA) – The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is pleased to announce
that six schools have exited the Comprehensive School Improvement (CSI) and Targeted Support and
Improvement (TSI) designations of Federally Identified Schools.
The district congratulates Cross Keys High, Chapel Hill Elementary, Indian Creek Elementary, Oak View Elementary, Towers High, and Woodridge Elementary.
“Exiting TSI and CSI designations is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students,
teachers, principals, and support staff,” said Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Norman C. Sauce
III. “These schools have demonstrated what is possible when we remain focused on student outcomes
and use data to guide our improvement efforts. We are proud of their progress and remain committed
to sustaining this momentum across the district.”
Cross Keys High School was removed from the CSI Graduation Rate designation due to its graduation
rate increasing from 64.4% to 72.3%. To exit the CSI designation, high schools must earn a four-year
Graduation Rate of less than or equal to 67%.
The TSI designation identifies schools with one or more consistently underperforming student subgroups, based on at least one CCRPI component. Schools that have been newly identified to receive additional TSI support based on subgroup performance of students with disabilities include Doraville United Elementary, Flat Rock Elementary, and Stone Mountain High.
“DCSD remains dedicated to supporting all schools. We appreciate our communities, staff, and teachers
for their ongoing partnership as we move forward together,” the district stated.
