ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA– Rockdale Water Resources (RWR) will host its first Water Fun Day on Saturday, May 9, noon to 4 p.m., at Wheeler Park, 1400 Parker Road, Conyers.
The free celebration is being held in observance of National Drinking Water Week, held the first week of May.
Rockdale’s family-friendly community event highlights the importance of water in our daily lives while bringing residents together for a day of fun, education, and engagement.
Water Fun Day will feature a Kid Zone with interactive games and activities, a Touch-A-Truck experience showcasing utility and public safety vehicles, and a variety of community vendors. Attendees also will have the opportunity to connect with Rockdale Water Resources staff to learn more about water conservation, infrastructure, and the role everyone plays in protecting local water resources.
Food vendors will be on site, offering a range of food and beverage options. Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in the Drinking Water Week celebration.
RWR is also seeking volunteers to support Water Fun Day by assisting with the various stations and interactive activities throughout the day. Those interested in volunteering may reach out no later than Thursday May 7, for more information.
