CONYERS, GA—The City of Conyers will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. As the city prepares for the Juneteenth Celebration & Parade in Olde Town Conyers, motorists should be aware of the following temporary parking and traffic impacts:
Parking Closures
- Main Street Parking Lot: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Main Street on-street parking + lot near Alli Roberts Salon: 9 a.m. – Noon
Parade Schedule
- 9 a.m. – Lineup begins at Conyers First Methodist Church
- 11 a.m. – Parade step-off; the parade travels along Main Street and concludes at the festival area in the Main Street parking lot.
Road Closures During Parade
Glade Street (residential only), Rosser Street (residential only), Main Street (Rosser Street to Warehouse Street), Bank Street, Milstead Avenue (Pine Street to Main Street), Elm Street (no access to Main Street), Center Street, Peek Street(no access to Main Street)
Expect increased traffic and detours on Commercial Street during the parade.
The Juneteenth Celebration will take place in the Main Street parking lot from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
