ATLANTA – State Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia) recently attended the Future Summit 2026 in Washington, D.C., where she served as a panelist on the “She Builds” panel. Hosted by the Future Caucus, the 10thannual Future Summit took place July 8-11 and brought together millennial and Gen Z state lawmakers from across the nation to strengthen bipartisan coalitions and legislative solutions and gain insights from experts on issues that define the future.
“I am honored to have had the opportunity to participate in the ‘She Builds’ panel to discuss the role and advancement of women in leadership in today’s political landscape,” said Rep. Kendrick. “The Future Caucus and its annual Future Summit provide a valuable opportunity for young lawmakers to engage in meaningful conversations, collaborate on issues that impact communities across the country and gain valuable insights from fellow lawmakers. I was proud to represent Georgia’s Future Caucus at the Summit and have a seat at the table as we discussed important and pertinent topics affecting younger generations.”

The Future Caucus is a national, nonpartisan nonprofit that works directly with the nation’s Gen Z and millennial policymakers on both federal and state levels to lead a new era of bipartisan collaborative governance.
In 2013, Kendrick and former State Rep. Michael Caldwell (R-Woodstock) co-founded the Georgia Future Caucus, a bipartisan group of legislators under the age of 45.
