ATLANTA—Atlanta City Council members will host the Atlanta Commission on Women(ACOW) meeting on Tuesday, June 11, 6:30 p.m., at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. S.W., Atlanta.
In 2000, the Atlanta City Council approved legislation authored by former City Council members C.T. Martin and “Able” Mable Thomas to establish the Atlanta Commission on Women to create its membership, address the needs of women as it relates to education, health, insurance, employment salaries, and other related issues. The Commission meets monthly.
ACOW representatives appointed by each district Council member are:
