DECATUR, GA- DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston announces a conviction by jury trial in the case of a Clarkston man accused of shooting and killing a woman inside a Stone Mountain hotel room.  On Thursday, a jury found Faruk Fadesire, 26, guilty on charges of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony stemming from an incident on October 24, 2020.    According to the investigation, officers with the DeKalb County Police Department responded around 6:30 p.m. to a report of a person shot at the Scottish Inn on Memorial Drive. …

DEKALB COUNTY, GA–At approximately 3:25 p.m. today, Oct. 18, a plane was landing but over-shot the main runway at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. The pilot and a passenger were onboard the Beachcraft King Air 8-seater but no sustained injuries were reported. No people, vehicles or buildings were struck, DeKalb County officials said. The Federal Flight Standards District Office will be investigating the accident.
