LITHONIA—The Lithonia Market on Main, which was scheduled Saturday, Sept. 18, has been cancelled due to current weather forecasts. Scattered thunderstorms are expected all weekend in metro Atlanta as tropical downpours in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi head East toward Georgia. The new date for the Lithonia Market on Main will be Oct. 2, an off day in the calendar, officials said. DECATUR, GA – DeKalb County Tax Commissioner Irvin J. Johnson is reminding property owners of the upcoming Sept. 30 installment deadline. Payments can be made online at DeKalbTax.org; additional payment methods include drop box, mail or by phone. Tax bills were sent mid-August by mail and by email to property owners who signed up for paperless billing. The new SeaQuest Aquarium at Stonecrest Mall is recruiting for several positions as the sea-and-land adventure prepares for its grand opening in a few weeks.
