DEKALB COUNTY, GA–Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department invites pooches to make a splash at its annual Doggy Dip Day. Due to the event’s popularity, there will be two available dates to register for the event.
The event takes place Sept. 25 and 26, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Murphey Candler Park Pool, 2551 W. Nancy Creek Drive, Brookhaven.
Participants are required to register in advance online at https://secure.rec1.com/GA/city-of-brookhaven/catalog. Only two humans per dog are allowed.
Dog owners will only be allowed to wade into the pools up to their knees, and lifeguards will be present.
Cost is $15 per dog for three-hour time slots. Participants are allowed to sign up for both days, but will need to pay $15 for each day. All dogs must be up-to-date on required shots and vaccinations.
