DeKalb announces Christmas holiday sanitation collection schedule

In observance of Christmas Day on Monday, Dec. 26, garbage, recyclable materials and yard trimmings collection for residential customers will be based on a revised collection schedule.

The revised schedule is as follows:

Monday, Dec. 26 – Christmas Day observed. No sanitation collection service.

Tuesday, Dec. 27 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, Dec. 26, will be serviced on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Wednesday, Dec. 28 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Tuesday, Dec. 27, will be serviced on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Thursday, Dec. 29 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday, Dec. 28 will be serviced on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Friday, Dec. 30 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Thursday, Dec. 29, will be serviced on Friday, Dec. 30.

The Sanitation Division’s administrative office, Central and North Transfer Stations and Seminole Road Landfill will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26, and will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 27, during normal operating hours.

Rockdale County Government Christmas Holiday Hours
Rockdale County Government Offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23, and on Monday, Dec. 26, in observation of the Christmas Holidays.

Gwinnett County Government Christmas Holiday Hours
All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday. All offices will resume regular working hours on Tuesday, Dec. 27. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.
