DECATUR, GA— DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have completed repairs to a 12” broken water main near the intersection of Covington Highway and Wellborn Road, officials said today, Feb. 2, around 5:15 p.m.
Water pressure has been fully restored and there are currently no reported water outages.
Customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing.
Traffic controls and a detour are still in place as the restoration work is completed.
Motorists are asked to please avoid the area if possible and expect traffic delays.
