STONE MOUNTAIN, GA– DeKalb County’s Departments of Planning & Sustainability and Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with DHL Express, will host “GoGreen” to raise awareness about community conservation efforts.
GoGreen will be held rain or shine on Oct. 15, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Wade Walker Park, 5585 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain.
The free event will offer those who attend an opportunity to learn about various organizations and partners engaged in environmental work and community conservation programs.
The event will feature:
- Tree plantings
- Invasive species workshop
- Children’s green arts and crafts
- Trail maintenance
- Litter pickup
- Solar-powered DHL pop-up
- Electric bike/electric vehicle displays
- Succulent plant giveaways (while supplies last)
- DHL goodie bag (while supplies last)
