The DeKalb County Police Department’s Homeland Security Unit has scheduled two Active Shooter Training sessions for places of worship in the month of December.
The presentations are focused on providing places of worship vital information on how to develop an Emergency Operation Plan that will equip them to mitigate any incident they may face including vandalism, fire, and flood. Both sessions also will include “What to do in the Event of an Active Shooter.”

I serve as a Deacon at the church I’m a member of. We’re going to have some training in 2018 but I’m seeking to learn all I can in this area. I will be at this training tonight at Smoke Rise B.C. I’m also encouraging others I know to attend as well. This training is vital for the times in which we live.
