Hairston Crossing to host “Tau Pi Omega: 25 years of service” exhibit
The Tau Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. celebrates 25 years of service in the Stone Mountain and Lithonia communities. A special exhibit will showcase some of its many accomplishments and contributions, including decades of cleaning trash from Stone Mountain-Lithonia Road, distributing free car safety seats for children to parents who needed them and awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving students. The exhibit will be at the Hairston Crossing Library, 4911 Redan Road, Stone Mountain, Jan. 6 through Feb. 3. 404-508-7170.
Flat Shoals presents “Cryptocurrency: Digital Currency Pros and Cons”
Cryptocurrency is digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. Cryptocurrency is difficult to counterfeit because of this security feature. Stonecrest Library showcases Georgia NBA’s Mike Glenn’s civil rights artifacts
View a broad collection of civil rights artifacts from the collection of Mike Glenn, community activist, Georgia NBA Hall-of-Famer and author of My Next Shot Goes In! Ten Sacred Characteristics of NBA Players that Lead to Success.
The exhibit, “Expanding Civil Rights: From Congressman Robert Elliott through Nelson Mandela,” will be displayed Jan. 4-31, at the Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Road.

Medicare 101 offered at Decatur Library
Need information about Medicare? Attend an educational workshop on Thursday, Jan. 11, or Wednesday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m. to noon, at the Decatur Library branch, 215 Sycamore St., Decatur.
