DEKALB COUNTY, GA— Jason Bowen, 40, wanted in a Tulsa, Oklahoma homicide, is behind bars after the DeKalb County Police S.W.A.T. officers were called in to assist U.S. Marshals in the arrest.
The Marshals service located Bowen at a motel in the 3700 block of Flat Shoals Road, in Decatur, GA on March 13. Bowen, wanted for first-degree murder in Tulsa, is accused of murdering Tevin Goff, 29, and lighting his car on fire in Oklahoma.
Tulsa authorities say that Goff’s family had reported him missing on March 9.
The Marshals obtained a search warrant and DKPD’s S.W.A.T. officers, along with K9 and Aerial Support, served the warrant and arrested Bowen at the motel. They also arrested Bowen’s girlfriend, 34-year-old Trashawn Hick.
Investigators say they found weapons and drugs inside their motel room. Bowen and Hick were taken to the DeKalb County Jail. Bowen has been turned over to the custody of U.S. Marshals.
No information concerning a motive for the murder was released.
Tulsa Police thanked DeKalb County Police for the assistance in apprehending the suspect.
