DEKALB COUNTY, GA. — The East Memorial Drive Pop-Up Market will hold the first of four markets of the year on Saturday, March 2, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pop-up market will be located in the parking lot of the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 5135 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain.
Deanna Johnson Cauthen, owner of Cauthen Enterprises and market coordinator, said that she was looking for a way an affordable way to support local artisans and entrepreneurs who want to sell their goods and services when she launched the pop-up markets in 2023.
“Vendors spaces start at $65 for a 10-foot-by-10-foot space, and because the pop-up market is located in such a high traffic area with lots of potential customers, you really can’t lose,” said Cauthen.
Cauthen said that her first pop-up markets, which took place last year, went really well.
“We had a steady stream of customers and several dozen vendors who sold everything from custom jewelry, body butter and soaps, pastries and desserts, sea moss health drinks and supplements, African clothing, hats, t-shirts, and accessories, local honey and fresh eggs, children’s books, romance novels, and so much more,” said Cauthen.
Cauthen said that anyone who is interested in becoming a vendor can visit www.emdpopup.com, and click the link for the registration form, or email her at dzstories@yahoo.com.
The East Memorial Drive Pop-Up Market is free to the public. For free tickets, go to www.emdpopup.com, and click the Eventbrite link.
