City of Lawrenceville’s Prelude to the Fourth
Lawrenceville’s Prelude to the Fourth Festivities and fireworks will be held 5:30 to 10 p.m. on the Lawrenceville Lawn. Enjoy live music from the 1980s and 1990s, inflatables, face painting, aerialist, axe throwing and more. Bring your own picnic or purchase food from vendors onsite. Bring a canned good to to help the Lawrencville Co-Op. Donors will be entered into a raffle for door prizes. Fireworks start at dusk. Rain or shine event. Free admission.

Decatur’s Pied Piper Parade, concert + fireworks
Show your holiday spirit. Put on your best red, white and blue and join the Decatur Pied Piper Parade to celebrate America. Decorate a float, vehicle or wagon, walk or bike. Prizes for the best bikes and floats. Line-up by 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave., Decatur.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. A band concert (5 p.m.) and fireworks (around 9 p.m.) will follow the parade on the Decatur Square. Arrive early with your lawn chair. For more info:

Avondale Estates Fourth of July celebration
Avondale Estates has planned a day filled with festivities for the whole family on July 4, 10 a.m. –10 p.m.. The city’s parade begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Berkeley Road and Clarendon Avenue.
Enjoy games, food and activities throughout the day at the Town Green, 64 N. Avondale Road, Avondale Estates. Fireworks will begin at dark.

Lilburn’s Sparkle in the Park
The city of Lilburn will host its Fourth of July celebration from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at Lilburn City Park, 76 Main St.
There will be live music, food trucks, children’s activities and fireworks (dusk). Bring a lawn chair or blanket. No outside alcohol permitted. No grills. No pets. No smoking. Snellville will host its Fourth of July holiday festivities from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Snellville Towne Green, 2342 Oak Rd. S.W., Snellville. Enjoy a live concert, D.J. and food trucks. There is a $15 armband fee for the Kids Zone (water slides, inflatables, train rides, gaming bus, Rock Wall, 9-hole mini golf), However, admission to the event is free.
