The hosts of the virtual town hall meetings will discuss current legislation, and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions at each meeting.
The first virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 3 will be hosted by State Representatives Debbie Buckner (D-Junction City), Mary Robichaux (D-Roswell), Billy Mitchell (D-Stone Mountain) and Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta). These legislators will discuss legislation to address the state’s health care system.
“It is our hope that these town hall meetings will bring more of our citizens into the legislative process by providing a platform for our constituents to directly engage with our members,” said House Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon). “This is about transparency; we want our constituents from every corner of the state to be well informed on the issues being debated under the Gold Dome, and we’ve developed events to do just that.”
