Gwinnet County Police seek public’s help in identifying Food Mart Armed Robbery suspect

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA– Gwinnett Police Robbery Unit needs help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery.

On Feb. 13, around 2 p.m., officers at West Precinct responded to an armed robbery call at the Food Mart, 4782 Jimmy Carter Blvd.

Officers met with the victim who already had security footage of the incident ready for them to view.  The victim stated he was on the phone and standing near the cash register when the suspect walked into the store.  He said the suspect was wearing a black hoody, dark ski mask, blue latex gloves, blue socks and dark-colored sandals.

The suspect walked up to the victim at the register, demanded money and pulled out a silver and black handgun.  The victim opened the register and the suspect put the gun away and beginning taking money out of the register.  The victim seized the opportunity and tackles the suspect.  During the scuffle, the suspect was able to get away and ran out of the store with money he had in his hand.
