LAWRENCEVILLE–Gwinnett County Clerk of Superior Court Tiana Garner, along with county officials, will host the County’s first ever Adoption Day on Nov. 14, 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center Auditorium, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville.
The inaugural event will highlight families who will share their stories and help raise awareness about the adoption process.
More than 120 adoptions have been finalized in Gwinnett County this year alone. Although the adoption process may be an emotional journey, families said it’s a journey worth celebrating, Gwinnett officials stated in a news release.
Family law attorney Ina Cook also will be recognized. Cook recently received a Congressional award for her work to reform policies for undocumented children in the foster care system.
Anyone who would like to attend in person must preregister. The event will also be livestreamed on WebEx at GCGA.us/NationalAdoptionDay.
