GWINNETT COUNTY, GA– Gwinnett County Police are investigating a fatality involving a mother who shot and killed her 47-year-old daughter during an argument. Detectives are still looking into what led to the altercation.
The mother’s name was not released.
During the altercation, Trevor Murray attacked her mother, which resulted in Murray getting shot, police said. No charges have been filed at this time and the case will remain active pending an autopsy, police said.
The incident occurred on July 11. Police arrived on the scene at approximately 8:45 p.m. from the Bay Creek Precinct responding to a person shot call on Spanish Moss Ct. in Lawrenceville.
When officers arrived, they located an adult female deceased from a gunshot wound. The shooter remained on scene until officers arrived and was interviewed by homicide detectives.
Both, the mother and daughter, lived inside the residence and witnesses on scene stated there was an altercation that led to the shooting.
