Update: The Gwinnett County Police has arrested Jose Antonio Cruz with the help of the Gwinnett County
Sheriff’s Office. Sandy Springs Police Department arrested Tabitha Katurhia Weaver. Cruz is being held at the Gwinnett County
Detention Center without bond. Weaver is pending extradition from Fulton County to Gwinnett County.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA– The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Jose Antonio Cruz, 31, and Tabitha Katurhia Weaver, 37. Both are wanted on felony shoplifting warrants. The pair is accused of stealing bins of allergy medication, totaling over $5,000 from Publix.
According to police reports, Cruz and Weaver stole the medication from two Publix stores: 4850 Sugarloaf Parkway and 911 Duluth Highway.
The pair entered both stores, took large amounts of allergy medication, and concealed it in two gray bins. They then left the store without paying for the bins or medication, totaling over $5,000. The suspects were traveling in a gray passenger car, police said.
Anyone who has any information about their whereabouts is asked to contact GCPD detectives at 678-442-5653.
