DEKALB COUNTY, GA– The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit has made an arrest in the March 29 death of a man during an alleged argument that led to a shootout on Kelly Street in Lithonia, Georgia.
Sheriff’s investigators located 42-year-old Kali Smith of Lithonia at a residence on Laguna Drive in Decatur and took him into custody without incident. Arrest warrants charge Smith with Malice Murder and Aggravated Assault against Torey Shepherd, 21, of Decatur, who was fatally wounded during the shootout.
Smith was transported to the DeKalb County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
