ATLANTA – The MARTA Police Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) and the Atlanta Police Department (APD) Fugitive Task Force have arrested Xavier Mosley, 38, who was wanted for shooting a male victim multiple times at the Arts Center MARTA Station on Aug. 11.
Mosley, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 14, on a warrant at his home in Atlanta, where police and a SWAT team searched his home and transported him to the Fulton County Jail. He was charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Mosley also was issued a permanent ban from MARTA.
The shooting occurred on Sunday, Aug. 11, around 9 p.m., in the bus loop at the MARTA Arts Center Station, transit authorities said. Officers responded and rendered aid to the unidentified male victim, who was pronounced deceased after being transported to the hospital. Mosley fled the scene before officers arrived.
Members of the MARTA Police CIU worked with the APD Fugitive Task Force to locate Mosley after securing warrants on Aug. 12 for his arrest.

Authorities did not state a motive for the shooting.
