LITHONIA, GA – New Bethel AME Church, 8350 Rockbridge Road, will host a vaccine clinic on Sunday, June 5, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will provide $100 gift cards to those who receive their vaccine.
Vaccines are provided free of charge and the vaccine site is open to the public.
The event is being held in partnership with with DeKalb County District 5 Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson and the Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE).
CORE provides immediate aid and recovery to underserved communities across the globe including vaccines, tests and essential resources for COVID-19 and works to reach people where they live, work and play and worship.
Johnson and Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available at the New Bethel event. Vaccines for ages 5 and up also will be available. Previously vaccinated participants should bring their vaccine passport. Masks are required to be worn and all COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
New Bethel AME Church has been serving the community since 1891. The church offers in-person and virtual services Sundays at 9:30 a.m. William Thomas, Jr., is senior pastor.
New Bethel’s Outreach Center/Food Pantry is open to the public every Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 8350 Rockbridge Road, Lithonia.
