UPDATE: The fugitive, Gloria Wright, 23, wanted in Rockdale County, GA in connection with the murder of her 1-year-old child has been located and taken into custody in Rochester, New York. The arrest was made possible with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals,the Rockdale Sheriff’s Office said in a statement tonight(Jan. 18).
“We sincerely appreciate the public’s ongoing support and assistance throughout this investigation.

ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA – Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is seeing the public’s help in locating Gloria Wright, a 23-year-old Black female, who is wanted for the murder of her 1-year-old child.
On Jan. 8, the Rockdale deputies responded to a person not breathing call. Upon arrival, officers discovered the individual was a 1-year-old child. Despite Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attempts to resuscitate the child, the child was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Based on the information obtained from the investigation, the mother of the child, identified as Gloria Wright, is now wanted for Murder in the First Degree (Felony) and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree (Felony).
This is an ongoing investigation, and the information provided is preliminary and may change.
