ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA– In an effort to accelerate the corrective work on Sigman Road Phase II Widening and Multiuse Path Construction Project, the Rockdale Department of Transportation (RDOT) announced there will be a roadway closure at Sigman and Rockbridge Roads on Saturday, March 4. Traffic will be detoured around Sigman Road on the West and Rockbridge Road on the North.
- From the North – traffic traveling northbound on Rockbridge, towards Sigman, will need to take a right onto Sigman and head eastbound.
- From the South – traffic traveling southbound on Rockbridge, towards Sigman, will need to detour onto Farmer Road
- From the West- traffic traveling eastbound on Sigman, towards Rockbridge, will need to detour onto Lester or Farmer Road
- From the East – traffic traveling westbound on Sigman, towards Rockbridge, will need to take a left onto Rockbridge and head southbound.
The closure begins on Saturday, March 4, at 7 a.m. and will reopen at 5 p.m. Detour signage will be placed prior to the closure. Uniformed will provide traffic control support on-site. Road closures are subject to weather cancellations. In the event of bad weather, the closure will be postponed.
