DEKALB COUNTY, GA— Two men are facing multiple drug-related charges after leading police on a chase that ended with their capture after the pair crashed into a parked car and then tried to run on foot.
Saderrick Noid, 20, and his passenger, Donovan Hudson, 24, were taken into custody by DeKalb County police.
The incident unfolded on July 28 around 5 p.m. Police noticed a Honda weaving erratically on Candler Road northbound near Toney Drive. An officer attempted to pull the driver over, but the driver sped away.
Police pursued the driver to Glenwood Road, then to Columbia Drive. The driver attempted to turn east on Elgin Drive, hitting a parked vehicle. No one was hurt. The driver and a passenger ran from the car. Officers quickly stopped the passenger and used Aerial Support and K-9 to find the driver.
Inside the vehicle, DeKalb County Police found an assault rifle, two handguns, cash, more than a pound of marijuana and multiple grams of Oxycodone. Hudson, the passenger, was taken to DeKalb County Jail on multiple charges. Noid, the driver, went to a hospital for an injury and will be taken to jail on his release.
