The Georgia Lottery is joining a new game that offers two lifetime prizes. Cash4Life is a multi-state draw game with the chance to win $1,000 a day for life, or the chance to win $1,000 a week for life.
The game went on sale statewide Sunday.
Drawings will be held at 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. The first drawing in Georgia will be held July 29.
Tickets are $2 per play.
Players must pick five numbers from one to 60 and a Cash Ball number from one to four. Players can win $1,000 a day for life by matching all five numbers and the Cash Ball number. Or, players can win $1,000 a week for life matching the first five numbers without the Cash Ball.
Additionally, there are seven other ways to win prizes of up to $2,500.
Overall odds of winning any Cash4Life prize are approximately 1 in 7.76. Odds of winning $1,000 a day for life are 1 in 21.8 million. Odds of winning $1,000 a week for life are 1 in 7.2 million.
Cash4Life is a multi-state game played in Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Cash4Life will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $17.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.4 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
