Rockdale homeowner fatally shoots three masked men in home invasion

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred this morning after a homeowner opened fire on three masked males. The home invasion took place at a residence on White Oak Court around 4 a.m.

When authorities arrived on the scene, RCSO deputies found three males with gunshot wounds and began administering first aid, said RCSO spokesman Deputy Lee Thomas.

One of the men was pronounced dead upon arrival. The other two other men were taken to the hospital where they later died of their injuries, Thomas said. The investigation is still in the preliminary stages and the homeowner is currently being questioned about the shooting. At this time, it is known that all three males who were shot did not live at the residence and arrived to the home wearing masks.
