On Dec. 2, Rockdale County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a person armed call at 11:30 a.m. located at 2297 Malta Drive Conyers. Deputies arrived and found that the suspect had barricaded himself inside the home. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T was called to the scene. With assistance from the Newton County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident. Updates will be provided as they become available.
