LITHONIA—The Lithonia Market on Main, which was scheduled Saturday, Sept. 18, has been cancelled due to current weather forecasts. Scattered thunderstorms are expected all weekend in metro Atlanta as tropical downpours in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi head East toward Georgia.
The new date for the Lithonia Market on Main will be Oct. 2, an off day in the calendar, officials said. Originally, the 2021 market season, which kicked off May 8, was scheduled every Saturday, except Oct. 2, through Dec. 4.
Shoppers will be able to purchase goods from local farmers and artisans on the make-up date. The market will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at 6980 Main St., Lithonia.
