The DeKalb County School District issued the following statement:
“DeKalb County School District (DCSD) congratulates the Atlanta Braves on winning the 2021 World Series title! We are excited to have another professional sports championship in metro Atlanta. All DCSD schools and centers will be closed on Friday, November 5, 2021, to help the Braves celebrate its World Series victory during the championship parade. We look forward to joining all Braves fans in celebrating this historic victory! There will be no makeup day or remote learning/remote work expectations for students and employees.”
