DEKALB COUNTY, GA– In response to forecasted extreme winter weather conditions, the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) will observe an asynchronous independent learning day on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. Students will complete assignments at home using materials provided by their teachers, allowing learning to continue safely without live instruction.
All DCSD employees will work remotely on the day. Additionally, all school activities and athletic events have been canceled.
“The District appreciates everyone’s understanding and cooperation as it prioritizes the safety of ours students, staff, and families. DCSD will continue monitoring the weather closely and provide updates if additional schedule changes are necessary,” officials stated today.
