ATLANTA – State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia) was recently named vice chair of the Law, Justice and Ethics Committee for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL).
“Thank you to NBCSL President Rep. Harold Love, Jr. (TN) for the appointment,” said Rep. Kendrick. “I look forward to serving in this role with Chair Representative Stanley Wright (AK) to focus on fairness, integrity and accountability within the legal and judicial systems within our nation.”
The Law, Justice, and Ethics Committee works to promote fairness, integrity and accountability within legal and judicial systems while upholding ethical standards across all sectors. This committee serves as a platform for examining and shaping policies that promote justice, protect individual rights and address legal and ethical challenges in a changing society.
As vice chair, Kendrick will collaborate with the Health and Human Services Committee to ensure that each Policy Committee meets virtually at least twice a year. Additionally, Rep. Kendrick will oversee that each Policy Committee supports fundraising efforts for Regional Meetings and recruits two new potential Corporate Round Table (CRT) members for the National Office annually.
