GWINNETT COUNTY, GA—Students in Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will have a scheduled Digital Learning Day (DLD) on Friday, Sept. 19.
On scheduled Digital Learning Days, students access lessons in Google Classroom through their Learning Space but do not have virtual class time with their teachers. This means that students will be required to complete activities and assignments (asynchronous learning) on their own time to meet assignment deadlines.
To ensure that students have a nutritious meal to fuel their learning, bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by the School Nutrition Program staff.
Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.
The Gwinnet School District has four Digital Learning Days built into the 2025-26 school calendar— Sept. 19, Nov. 4, Feb. 6, and March 13.
